Worship

Christians have always viewed their purpose in life as being "to live and work to God's praise and glory".  Worship provides an important channel for the fulfilment of that purpose.  In worship we praise and thank God for all the blessings we enjoy; we are inspired and challenged as a community; we are strengthened to serve God in the world.

Because our worship area is so flexible, we worship God in many different ways:-

Sunday Worship

On Sunday mornings at 10.30 am, we gather for a traditional Methodist service.  Because we Methodists love to sing, our services include both the great hymns of our tradition and the best of the wide range of new music from around the world.  There is a children's section to the service, a sermon, prayers and, once a month, the sacrament of Holy Communion.  After the children's section they go to their own "Sunday Club".

All Age Worship Celebrations take place at Harvest, Advent and Mothering Sunday.  At those services we worship as a church family with something for all ages.  It is a more informal occasion and even the very young are able to be part of things.  On those Sundays we also hold a short Communion Service at 9 am.

On the 4th Sunday evening of each month there is a Service of Healing and Communion.  The service begins at 6.30 pm and is usually led by Revd Cynthia Park.

Midweek Worship

On Thursdays at 1 pm we meet in our small Chapel for a short service, which includes prayer, reflection and music.
