'Endangered Earth' Holiday Club
Summer 2022
What an incredible four days we had at the end of July! Our team of wonderful volunteers welcomed almost 50 children to church for fun-filled days learning all about endangered species.
Special visitors Cleo and Ryan from Sussex Wildlife Trust arrived to teach us all about nocturnal wildlife - they'd set the alarm for 5 am to capture some spectacular moths to show us all.
Jess from Brighton City Council helped us make wildflower seed bombs to encourage native species closer to home, and told us all about helping wildlife habitats thrive.
Rosemary's cooking exploits were the highlight for everyone with delicious pastry snakes and snails, and tasty ladybird cakes. Crafts in the Sanctuary with Liz included some stylish T-shirt printing, bug key rings, stained glass butterflies and fiendishly tricky word searches.
Thanks to everyone who made this year's summer holiday club an epic success!
