Counselling Centre

Counselling Centre

The counselling Centre offers non-judgmental support on a range of issues such as families, relationships, mental health, HIV, bereavement and gender identity.  Due to the nature of this work the counselling service is being delivered by a mix of community organisations and charities alongside volunteers from among our own congregation who will cover our welcome desk.

Charities and partnerships who access our centre.

Dolphin Project

This is a partnership project that aims to offer and deliver counselling support to the parents and carers of children at Carlton Hill & Elm Grove Primary School and at Tarner Nursery.

Clare Project

The Clare Project is a self-supporting group based in Brighton and Hove open to anyone wishing to explore issues around gender identity. The ultimate goal of transgender counselling is to help the transgendered individual accept their uniqueness, rather than hiding it away in shame or confusion.

HIV Work

Lunch Positive is a weekly lunch club for people with, and affected by HIV. An integral aspect of our service is the regular inclusion of support workers from other organisations who attend the lunch club and offer support to people in need. The counselling space enables them to meet and talk privately with their clients. Funded via Lunch Positive

Headway

The charity works to improve life after a brain injury. Through counselling they look to help survivors regain some quality of life and to come to terms with their injury.

Church Counsellor

We work closely with a qualified counsellor who provides counselling on a broad range of issues for those in our congregation.
